West Columbia, S.C. 10/19/2021 – National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2021. Lexington Medical Center will host a drive-through site on the hospital campus in West Columbia to drop off unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
Community members can drive to Lexington Medical Park 3 at 222 East Medical Lane in West Columbia from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23.
Disposal is free and anonymous. Pills, liquids in containers and patches will be accepted. Needles will not be accepted.
Disposing of medications properly helps to keep families and our community safe by preventing accidental poisoning, misuse and overdose. Proper disposal of unused drugs saves lives and protects the environment.
