New Yoga and Health Studio to open this Saturday in Lexington

Lexington, SC – 04/21/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Yama Yoga, Health, and Wellness will have its grand opening this Saturday, April 24th in Lexington. It will begin at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 4:00 p.m. This is being held in their studio at 201 West Main St, Unit D4, in Lexington. Everyone is invited to attend.

The new business’s owner is Nina Spinelli. She is a certified RY-200 Yoga Instructor and an American Council on Fitness certified Health Coach. She’s taught Yoga and healthy living for several years at various locations around Aiken, Lexington, and Columbia. These teaching sessions took place at USC Aiken and the YMCA in Lexington (now closed) and in downtown Columbia.

Spinelli said recently, “We are so excited to bring the benefits of yoga to downtown Lexington! This has been a dream of mine for so long!” She continued by saying, “Yoga can do so much. It builds strength, it reduces stress, and it helps heal and prevent injuries. It’s an ideal exercise routine because it can be scaled to the user’s individual fitness level.”

In addition to group classes, Yama Yoga, Health, and Wellness will also offer private lessons, body stretch sessions, massage therapy, and Health Coaching.

“Stretch Sessions incorporate many yoga postures like forward bends, back bends, spinal twists, cobra, locust and more. The therapist uses their hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series stretches and also applies deep muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure,” Spinelli concluded.
