No one injured by accidental firearm discharge at show

St. Andrews, SC (Paul Kirby) 11/16/2020 – No one was injured after a firearm was accidentally discharged at the Gun & Knife Show held at the Jamil Shrine Center in the St. Andrews area of Lexington County over the weekend. The show, one of the most popular held at the center, is not an event organized by the Shriners. They lease their facility for many popular shows and the Gun & Knife Show is just one of many.

Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the Lexington County Sheriff Department, said Monday, “There was an accidental discharge of a firearm by a patron trying to unload a weapon. No one was hurt.” He did not elaborate any further.
