Chapin, SC 10/13/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Oktoberfest, the German practice of celebrating a successful harvest with a large, fun festival, is happening this weekend at Timberlake Plantation outside of Chapin. According to the Timberlake Country Club’s management, it will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2021. Timberlake’s Clubhouse is the event ‘s headquarters and you can locate that at 222 Timberlake Drive, Chapin, SC.
This is their 4th year of celebrating Oktoberfest and the proceeds from the event will be used for capital improvements, especially the construction of a playground area and play equipment that children can enjoy. During the celebration, they will have games, a German inspired lunch, a Kid’s Buffet, live music, an auction, and more.
There is also an 18-hole Captain’s Choice Golf Tournament that begins at 9:00 a.m. Timberlake’s course is amazing and has spectacular view of the Jewel of SC, beautiful Lake Murray. You can buy a Mulligan package, enjoy a breakfast beverage before the tournament, stop at one of the Beer Gardens on the course, and then stuff yourself on Bratwurst and German Potato Salad after your round of golf is complete.
