Pine Grove, SC 02/26/2024 (Paul Kirby) – The SC Highway Patrol has reported that one person died in a motorcycle crash on Shelton Road between South Congaree and Pine Grove Saturday night. According to master Trooper Gary Miller of the SC Highway Patrol (SCHP), the collision happened at approximately 8:15 p.m.
According to Miller, the rider of the motorcycle ran off the left side of the road, struck a culvert, and was thrown from the bike. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the rider of the Harley as Jerome Lamar Stutts, 51, of Lexington. Stutts, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
This collision is still being investigated by the SCHP and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office.
