One Person has died following a collision on US Hwy 378 near Hollow Creek Wednesday

Hollow Creek, SC 08/25/2022 (Paul Kirby) – One person is dead following a traffic collision that occurred around mid-day Wednesday near the Hollow Creek community. According to Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell of the SC Highway Patrol, this happened at US Hwy 378 at Peachland Drive on August 24, 2022.

Tidwell said that the SCHP’s investigation revealed that a Subaru was travelling west on Hwy 378 with two occupants in the vehicle. When that car approached the Peachland Drive intersection, it struck a Lincoln that had been driving north on Peachland. The two occupants of the Subaru were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby medical facility. The driver of Lincoln, the only person in that vehicle, was transported to Lexington Medical Center where they succumbed to their injuries.

Tidwell continued by saying that this collision is still under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has not yet released the identity of the deceased driver.
