Pelion-area elementary schools offer no-cost suppers to some students

Lexington, SC 09/223/2021 - Lexington County School District One students who participate in afterschool programs housed at Pelion Elementary and Forts Pond Elementary can receive a no-cost dinner thanks to the Child and Adult Care Food Program. The CACFP Supper Program is a federal nutrition program offered through the Department of Social Services.

The program aims to improve the nutritional quality of meals served to students and introduce different types of food to reinforce good eating habits. For more information, contact the Field Supervisor Polly Peyinghausat ppeyinghaus@lexington1.net or by calling 803.821.1378).
