Pelion, SC 03/03/2022 (Paul Kirby) - Jacob Osmanski, a senior at Pelion High School, recently won the State 5-2A, 160 Weight Class Championship. He is only the second student in Pelion High School’s history to win this wrestling honor.
In order to earn his way to the finals in Anderson, SC, Jacob had to take the Lower State Finals several weeks ago. He continues to turn in these types of athletic performance while remaining in the top ten percent of his class academically. Jacob is actually a three-sport athlete competing in wrestling, track, and football in the fall. Coached by Jody Truesdale, Jacob has wrestled since his 7th grade year.
Jacob’s parents are Joe and Joanne, and they say he’s just a “one of a kind,” they couldn’t be prouder of. He’s looking at joining the track program at CIU in the fall.
