Pelion Police Department asking the public for help after pharmacy break in

Pelion, SC 08/02/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Chief John Rebolj of the Pelion Police Department released a statement Monday afternoon asking the public's help in identifying suspects who broke into the town’s only pharmacy last week. According to the chief, this crime happened at 3:49 a.m. on Thursday, July 29. 2021.

The chief said that the suspects entered the store after arriving on scene in a late Chevrolet Malibu or Impala with aftermarket rims on it. They were caught on surveillance video as they entered and were inside Hawthorne Pharmacy on Pine Street in the town. After they burglarized the business, they fled in the same car they arrived in.

Law enforcement officers say that the same suspects are believed to have burglarized several other Hawthorne Pharmacy locations on Sunset Blvd on June 24th, and the one on Laurel Street on July 23rd of this year.

Chief Rebojl ask that you look at the attached photographs closely. If you have any information that can help the police identity of the suspects, please contact the Pelion Police Department via Facebook Messenger or by phone at 803-894-2520.
