Pelion teen dies after being involved in car crash last Friday evening

Edmund, SC - 02/11/2021 (Paul Kirby) – A Pelion area teen succumbed to injuries he received after being involved in a horrific vehicle collision last Friday evening. According to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher, Dillan Alexander Roldan, 15, of Pelion died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at a local trauma center.

Roldan was a passenger in one of three vehicles that collided near the bridge that crosses the old railroad bed on SC Hwy. 6 near Edmund Highway. His older brother was also in the vehicle and was injured in the crash.

The SCHP has not released the cause of the collision. They are in charge of the traffic aspect of the investigation and may release more information at a later date.
