Pine Ridge, SC – 03/24/2021 (Paul Kirby) – The Town of Pine Ridge, SC has scheduled a Special Election to fill the seat of Mayor Robert Wells who resigned recently citing health reasons. According to the town, the election will be held on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021 from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than Sunday, May 16, 2021. Voter registration by mail applications will be accepted, if postmarked by Monday, May 17, 2021. You must be a resident of the Town of Pine Ridge, SC in order to be eligible to vote in this election.
Citizens who desire to run for the office of mayor may file to do so at the Town of Pine Ridge, Town Hall, 2757 Fish Hatchery Road. You can call the town hall at (803) 755-2500 for additional information.
Filing Hours Are:
Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, except Wednesday 8:00am – 1:00pm.
Monday, April 19, 2021, 8:00am through Friday, April 30, 2021, 5:00pm, except on
Wednesday, April 21, 2021 and Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
The filing fee to run for the position of mayor is $50.00. All filing fee checks should be made payable to Town of Pine Ridge.
All voting will take place at the Congaree Baptist Church located at 101 Pine Ridge Dr., West Columbia, 29172.
