Pond Branch Community Crime Watch will host candidates for Lexington County Sheriff at their May meeting

Pond Branch, SC 04/10/2024 (Paul Kirby) – The Pond Branch Community Crime Watch will hold a forum that includes all candidates for Lexington County Sheriff at their May meeting. That meeting is scheduled for May 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. It will be held in the Pond Branch Methodist Church Activity Building located at 1908 Pond Branch Road, Gilbert. This is just off I-20 at exit 44 on the opposite side of the interstate from the 44 Truck Stop.

Bob Hall, an organizer for this group said by email on April 10, 2024, that all four candidates that have filed to run have RSVPd saying they would attend. Candidate Garry Rozier plans to attend at this point even though there are some questions regarding whether he has or does live in Lexington County for the proper length of time. Rozier has hired an attorney to help him work on that issues and said Tuesday he hopes that he will be included on the June 11th Republican ballot. If he has not been included, he still plans to run but as an independent candidate.
