Punishers MC planning benefit ride for child in need of wheelchair transport vehicle

South Congaree, SC 09/01/2021 – Josh Woodley, chairman of the South Congaree Championship Rodeo Committee, is a former law enforcement officer that is active in many community organizations and events. Besides being and father, husband, son, and friend to many, he’s also a member of a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club. As with most biker clubs, Josh and his fellow bikers are constantly looking for ways they can help to make the world a better place for those that area less fortunate.

Each year, the Punishers LE/MC Swamp Foxes Chapter works with the family of Harold Kennington to sponsor a memorial motorcycle ride. Sadly, Harold lost his life in a motorcycle accident in 2016.

Harold was a great man, son, brother, and father. He loved to help people in need and would participate in any and all of the motorcycle benefit rides he could. Now that he’s gone, and because of his selfless devotion to his community and friends during his life, all funds generated from the Harold Kennington Memorial Ride go to benefit those in need.

Proceeds from the first memorial ride in 2017 went to John Rivers who had a brain tumor and needed surgery but had no insurance. The 2018 proceeds were divided between two individuals, Bucky Flowers and Mary Smith. Bucky was diagnosed with throat cancer and Mary had a stomach mass and needed surgery. The 2019 proceeds assisted with the financial needs of Edward, Tommie, and Lester Tarlton during their battle with cancer. In 2020 the proceeds were donated to Brylee Denham that’s battling Leukemia.

This year’s proceeds will be donated to help Hadley Wannamaker and her family. They need to purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle. Hadley is a 6-year-old little girl that has Spina Bifida. She has had 12 surgeries to date and is confined to a wheelchair. When asked what her dreams are, she stated she only wanted to walk and dance.

The Punishers LE/MC Swamp Foxes Chapter are asking for donations for this great cause. Any money, items for door prizes, or items for raffles would be greatly appreciated.

The club will be selling t-shirts with the sponsor’s names on the back and will also have a banner thanking the sponsors at the benefit. This year’s ride will be held on Sept. 11th, 2021. If you have any questions or would like to donate, please contact one of the Punishers LE/MC members listed below.
