Representative R.J. May to hold Town Hall meetings across District 88 in November

South Congaree, SC 10/22/2021 (Paul Kirby) – S.C. Representative R.J. May of House District 88, the legislative district that includes South Congaree, portions of Red Bank, communities east toward Pine Grove/Oak Grove, and other communities are planning on holding four Town Hall Meetings during the month of November. May said he is in talks now to have representatives from the SCDOT, South Carolina’s Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC), and Attorney General Allan Wilson’s office on hand at some of these. During two of the Town Halls, Representative Ryan McCabe of House District 96 will also be in attendance.

The schedule for these meetings is as follows:

November 9th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Pine Ridge Town Hall

November 15th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Red Bank Community Center (Ryan McCabe will be in attendance)

November 16th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the South Congaree Town Hall

November 18th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Edmund Community Center (Ryan McCabe will be in attendance)

** All addresses are included on the attached graphic

These are open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. There is no registration required.

During Town Hall meetings, the public is encouraged to ask questions they have about the operation of state government and the upcoming legislative session. People who do ask questions are asked to keep them brief, if at all possible, to give the elected officials time to adequately answer these. If a question is asked that May or McCabe may not know the answer to at that time, they’ll be glad to take notes so that they can research your issue and get back to regarding that matter.

This is your time to speak and be heard by the people that help develop and pass legislation that affects the daily lives of the citizens of South Carolina. If you have a question, concern, complaint, or a compliment, please try and attend one of these meetings and let your voice be heard. These representatives truly want to hear what’s on your mind.
