Roy Frick named assistant principal at Batesburg-Leesville Middle School

Batesburg-Leesville, SC 08/30/2021 - During their regularly scheduled August meeting, the Lexington County School District Three Board of Trustees approved Roy Frick as the new Assistant Principal of Batesburg-Leesville Middle School. Mr. Frick is replacing Grig Sawyer who recently was named as the district’s Graduation and Dropout Coordinator.

Mr. Frick has been employed with Lexington County School District Three since 2012. His first six years were spent at Batesburg-Leesville Middle School where he served as the school’s Business and Computer Education teacher. For the past three years, Mr. Frick has worked at Batesburg-Leesville High School as the Career and Technology Education (CTE) Director/Work-Based Coordinator. As the CTE Director, Mr. Frick helped the school’s work-based program see tremendous growth. He also started the High Schools That Work initiative and began the Batesburg-Leesville High School CTE Business of the Year Award that recognizes the business that has impacted the BLHS CTE Center the most for that school year. In addition, he also was the Pitching Coach for the Batesburg-Leesville High School baseball team.


Mr. Frick received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Anderson University in 2011. He went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from American College of Education in 2018. Mr. Frick and his wife, Maggie, have two children--Will (4) and Brody (6 months). In his spare time, Mr. Frick enjoys watching all sports, playing golf, spending time with family, and traveling.
