Pelion, SC (06/10/2021 Paul Kirby) – Republicans in a more rural area of Lexington County are organizing an event to “refresh” their local precinct. They are focusing on the importance of the grassroots efforts of people in every corner of the county who have solid, conservative values and want to see elected officials hold offices that are true to those principles.
On Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, they will hold their first general meeting at the Fairview Community Club. This is approximately halfway between Pelion and the Fairview Crossroads at 2705 Fairview Rd. (US Hwy 178), Pelion. The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
During this meeting, area leaders will discuss and begin working to educate the community and their neighbors on current issues facing our state and nation. They will also discuss the importance of true conservative candidates in hopes of seeing an increase in the participation of these type public servants during elections and in the election process.
Those who attend will also have the opportunity to get to know some of the area’s elected officials. Currently, Rep. Ryan McCabe of SC House District 96 and Lexington County Councilman Scott Whetstone of District One are planning to attend. They’ll each give a brief update on what is going on at the county and state levels.
