SC Highway Patrol reporting one dead in early morning crash involving Peterbilt and SUV

Red Bank, SC 03/14/2024 (Paul Kirby) – The SC Highway Patrol has reported that a man was killed in a collision on Platt Springs Road near its intersection with Winchester Drive Thursday morning. According to Master Trooper William Bennett of the SCHP, the crash occurred at approximately 4:25 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

 



Bennett said that a Peterbilt heavy truck turned out of a private driveway onto Platt Springs Road into the path of the SUV. The truck driver was not injured however the SUV’s driver died on the scene of the crash.
