Gaston, SC 02/15/2024 (Paul Kirby) – Master Trooper Brandon Bolton with the SC Highway Patrol has reported that a fatal collision occurred at about 12:30 a.m. today on Pine Plain Road east of Gaston. According to Bolton, the collision involved a single vehicle which was a 2994 Toyota SUV.
Bolton said that the SUV was travelling on Pine Plain Road when it left the road and struck a tree. The driver of the vehicle was its sole occupant and died as a result of injuries received in the collision.
The collision is still under investigation by the SCHP and Lexington County Margaret Fisher. Coroner Fisher has not yet released the decedent’s name.
