Gilbert, SC 04/26/2024 - The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed Misty Lane in Lexington County to all but local traffic. Misty Lane runs off Shore Road near Shull Island Road and Lake Murray.
According to the SCDOT, Misty Lane is a state road over a private dam. SCDOT is working closely with the dam owner and SCDHEC to make a plan for repairs to the dam and the restoration of the road.
At this time, it is unknown how long the road will be closed. SCDOT appreciates the public's patience as we work to assess the situation and make a plan for repairs.
