Lexington, SC 11/17/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Bluffton, SC man on warrants that accuses him of robbing a man of his vehicle after holding him at gunpoint in his garage. According to the department, Ronnison Milvalkeny Williams, age 22, is now charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, carjacking, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon, detectives have confirmed since they responded to the call for help on November 8, 2022, that Williams and a co-defendant followed a man to his home in The River Club just outside the Town of Lexington. Once they were at the man’s home, they forced the victim out of his car at gunpoint. “The co-defendant tried to drive away in the man’s vehicle but crashed into the victim’s property. The co-defendant then got back in the car with Williams and left,” Sheriff Koon said.
Sheriff Koon said that the Columbia Police Department located both Williams and the co-defendant later that day. The suspects initiated a pursuit will law enforcement officers and avoided capture at this point.
Sheriff Koon continued by saying, “Williams and the co-defendant were arrested in North Charleston on unrelated charges last Thursday. Arresting officers found evidence connecting Williams to the River Club Road incident in his possession.”
According to Sheriff Koon, this is still an open case and investigators hope that a tip from the public will help them with more potential charges and arrests.
To make a tip, go through Midlands Crimestoppers website of their mobile P3 app. The sheriff concluded by saying, “If your tip leads to an arrest, you could get a cash reward.”
