Lexington, SC 09/21/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigation a shooting that occurred on Tuesday afternoon. According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for Sheriff Koon, the incident occurred sometime around 5:00 p.m. on Beckman Road between South Congaree and Edmund.
Myrick said that they responded to the scene after receiving a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found one man had been shot. That individual was treated by personnel from Lexington County’s Fire Service and EMS before being transported to a local medical facility. Captain Myrick said they’ve been told his injury is not life-threatening. He also said there is no ongoing threat to public safety related to the shooting. They believe it was an isolated incident.
