Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) 11/20/20 – Investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department are investigating what was reported to be a stabbing at the Wal-Mart in Red Bank early Thursday morning. Details are few at this point but a spokesman for the sheriff has acknowledged they are looking into the matter.

Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for Sheriff Koon said that deputies responded to the Red Bank Wal-Mart parking lot just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday after receiving a call about a stabbing. When they arrived, the stabbing victim told the deputies he and his girlfriend were sitting in a car when three men walked up and ordered him to get out of the car. He said he did so and then began struggling with the three men. During that struggle, he suffered multiple stab wounds.

According to the victim, the men got into a car that pulled up at some point during the altercation. The driver of that car drove away from the scene with the men in the car. The injured man was transported to a local medical center where he was treated and released later that night.
