Lexington, SC (05/22/2023) Paul Kirby – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted sexual assault. It was reported on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the Crooked Creek Park just outside the town of Chapin. Now, they need the public's help to locate the man they believe was involved in this crime.
According to investigators, a female was exercising in the park when she said that a white man, she believed was in his 20s, grabbed her and tried to pull her into some nearby woods. She said during the investigation that he had no shirt on and was wearing khaki cargo shorts. They had a SLED sketch artist work with the woman in order to come up with a composite picture of the suspect. That sketch is attached to this article.
