Lexington, SC 06/26/2023 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said late Monday that one person has died in a single-vehicle accident Monday just before lunch. The crash occurred in the 3600 block of Neely Wingard Road in the Fairview area of Lexington County at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023.
According to Coroner Fisher, William Eugene Sullivan, 32, of Leesville was traveling westbound toward Fairview Crossroads on Neely Wingard Road when his vehicle crossed the center line, over corrected, and ran off the right side of the roadway, and hit a tree. Sullivan, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate this incident.
