Springdale Police Department working death investigation on Tarrytown Lane

Springdale, SC 02/24/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Springdale Police Department has spent much of Thursday investigating a death on Tarrytown Lane at the intersection of Durham Drive in the town. This is according to Chief Andrew “Bear” Richbourg of the Springdale Police Department.

According to Chief Richbourg, his department is receiving assistance from the SC Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office. He said that the findings of the autopsy ordered by Coroner Margaret Fisher will more clearly define the scope of their investigation into this death.

At this point, it is early in the investigation. Chief Richbourg said that once they receive the results of the autopsy that determines the actual cause and manner of death, he’ll be able to release additional information pertinent to this investigation.
