State and national beauty queens make special appearance at SC State House

Columbia, SC – 03/15/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Recently, a number of state and national beauty queens from across South Carolina took an opportunity to visit the SC State House and tour it with some influential leaders. This included Senator Ronnie Cromer of Newberry and Lexington Counties and SC House Member Rick Martin of Newberry County.

During their visit, the ladies were given a tour of the complex and grounds. They learned more about the building’s history and the process which takes place inside its chambers every day. Due to the COVID restrictions, the royals were unable to be introduced to the SC General Assembly on the floors of each chamber.

The young ladies that enjoyed the visit were:

Junior Teen All-Star United States, Kaitlyn Fox from Columbia

Teen Miss South Carolina USA, August Roach from Easley

Miss South Carolina USA, Marley Stokes from Lexington

Miss South Carolina Collegiate, Marler Askew from Greenwood

Preteen All-Star United States, McKinley Roebuck from Lexington

Miss South Carolina Cosmo, Rebekah Knowles from North Augusta

After the visit, a spokesperson for the young ladies said they appreciated the time that Senator Cromer and Representative Martin spent with them. Part of their duties as queens is making public appearances and although each are important, this visit to the SC State House was certainly one of the highpoints of their year.
