Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Batesburg- Leesville Police Department is asking the public if they can help identify a woman they believe stole a personal item from someone while in a store on November 8th, 2020. If you can help, they'd like you to call in your tip about who she is.
Police say last Sunday, the woman went into the KJ's Market in Batesburg-Leesville. While she was in the store, she stole someone’s wallet out of their shopping cart while their attention was elsewhere.
As she left the store, the video surveillance system caught her image. Police say video also shows her leaving the store in a white Chevrolet Trailblazer. Unfortunately, the cameras did not catch the vehicle’s license tag numbers.
If you know who this woman is, or even if you think you do, please contact Officer Pratt with the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department at (803) 532- 4408. You can also email Pratt at dpratt@batesburg-leesville.org.
