Three vehicle collision involving Lexington One school bus, motorcycle, and work van kills motorcycle rider

Lexington, SC 05/20/2024 (Paul Kirby) - A collision that involved a Lexington County School District One school bus, a motorcycle, and a work van has left the motorcycle rider dead, and several others injured. According to the Lexington Police Department, the collision occurred in the 100 block of Industrial Drive near Zenker Road.

According to police, seven students were on the bus. One of the students was injured and was transported by EMS to be treated for a cut on their arm. The driver of the work van was also transported from the scene by EMS to be treated for their injuries.  The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene.

The Lexington Police Department, the Lexington County Coroner's Office, and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety MAIT are investigating the collision.
