Lexington, SC 03/25/2025 - The Town of Lexington has lifted the stop work order issued to Ripple Fiber and the company will soon resume work in the Town limits. The stop work order was prompted earlier this year following safety concerns related to damaged Dominion Energy gas lines among other issues.

Following multiple meetings between the Town and Ripple, the parties reached an understanding on the necessary steps to move forward. Ripple Fiber has committed to enhanced safety protocols and closer coordination with utility providers to ensure the protection of vital infrastructure.

While state and federal laws require the Town to provide telecommunications companies like Ripple Fiber with access to public rights-of-way, the Town remains firm in its commitment to holding all providers accountable for maintaining safety and protecting community resources.

“Our priority has always been the safety and well-being of our residents,” said Mayor Hazel Livingston. “We appreciate the cooperation of all parties in working together to resolve these issues. Moving forward, we will continue to monitor things to ensure the expectations set forth are met.”

The Town of Lexington will stay engaged to ensure compliance with the agreed safety measures.

Residents and businesses with questions or concerns about Ripple Fiber's operations can contact the company directly by calling (839) 205-1809 or by visiting 1520 N Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. There is also a 24/7 customer service line that can be reached by calling (800) 359-5767. Residents can also submit a ticket by filling out the form on the Contact page at https://ripplefiber.com/contact.
