Springdale, SC - 02/09/2021 - (Paul Kirby) – Felton C. Benton Park, the Town of Springdale’s most popular park, reopened Monday after it was closed for some remodeling. Although the town does have another park, this is by far the most enjoyed. People come from all over to use the park and enjoy the safety which is afforded by the Town of Springdale Police Department. Their office borders the park and police officers are close at hand whenever the park is open.
Since it was closed, there has been a great deal of new playground equipment added. There are three new slides on one piece and lots of other great features for children to interact with.
This park, located next to the town hall on Platt Springs Road, also features the popular Splash Pad in the summer months. There are lots of other activities year-round you can enjoy. Many feature free food and drinks and there’s normally la large number of activities for children.
