Town of Springdale’s Splash Pad is now open

Springdale, SC 05/31/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The Town of Springdale’s splash pad opened last Friday. According to Mayor Juston Ricard, on opening day it was packed full of children. Ricard said, “Shouts of joy could be heard all the way inside Town Hall.”

The splash pad is located in Felton C. Benton Park which is beside the Town Hall at 2915 Platt Springs Rd, West Columbia. The splash pad is open to the public each day from 11 a.m. thru 6 p.m. throughout the summer months.

There are a few rules everyone needs to be aware of that applies to all of Springdale’s parks. These are:

• No cooking or grilling

• No pets

• No bicycles or skateboards

• No smoking

• No loitering

• No profanity

• No inflatable slides or bounce houses

• No kiddie pools.

The picnic shelters are available on a first come, first served basis. The Town ask that everyone do their part to keep Springdale beautiful by cleaning up after themselves.
