Town of Springdale to introduce modified sanitation schedule beginning Monday morning

Springdale, SC 07/16/2022 (Paul Kirby) - Starting Monday, July 18th, 2022, the Town of Springdale will be operating on a new modified sanitation pickup schedule in order to better help the sanitation crews deal with the summer heat. This change will remain in effect until September 30th, 2022 and will take place each year in the summer months from this point forward.

The new schedule will have pickups beginning at 6:00 AM. Periodically, it may be necessary for collections to operate on an adjusted route due to logistics, mechanical issues with equipment, and the health and safety of our employees.

The below listed instruction should help all residents of the town of Springdale I understand the changes. These changes do not affect garbage or recyclables at businesses or apartment complexes where the Town of Springdale does not remove those materials.

Monday: Household garbage should be placed at the curb for collection by 6:00 am and will be collected by the end of the business day on Tuesday.

Wednesday: Recycling should be placed at the curb for collection by 6:00 am and will be collected by the end of the day Wednesday.

Thursday: Yard trash should be placed for pickup by 6:00 am and will be collected by the end of the day Friday.
