Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) - Troopers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol have arrested a man in connection with the fatal collision that occurred just before 6:00 p.m. on Platt Springs Road at McLee Road Friday evening. Earlier Saturday, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher had identified the victim of the collision as 73-year-old Galen Manapat of Lexington.
According to Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Johnathon Ackiss was arrested on Saturday and charged with felony driving under the influence, having an open container in his vehicle, and simple possession of marijuana.
