Tropical Smoothie Café Coming To Growing Lexington County Development

Lexington, SC 11/05/2026 - A popular smoothie and fast-casual restaurant chain is preparing to open a new location at a growing commercial development in Lexington County.

Tropical Smoothie Café, which operates locations across the country, is coming to Platt Springs Crossing in the 5400 block of Platt Springs Road, near South Lake Drive in the Red Bank area of Lexington.

The restaurant will occupy space in a shopping center next to the development’s Lowes Foods supermarket and near Planet Fitness.

Banners announcing Tropical Smoothie Café are already hanging on the building.

However, a opening date has not yet been announced.

The chain is known for its fruit smoothies, but its menu also features breakfast wraps, acai bowls, cold brew coffee and other food and beverage options.
