Irmo, SC 01/01/2022 (Paul Kirby) – The rightful owner of a car that lives in the Irmo area has started off the new year hoping that someone saw something that will help Lexington County Sheriff’s Deputies located her stolen car. She says someone helped themselves to it in the Coldstream area of the county overnight.
The car was parked at its owner’s home on Ripley Station Road between Coldstream Drive and the neighborhoods surrounding Nursery Road Elementary School. It is a black, 2012 Chevrolet Cruze. Its SC license tag displayed the letters and numbers DMP 285. The attached picture is not the actual car but it’s a good representation of the same year, make, color, and model.
The car was stolen sometime between 7:30 pm on Friday, December 31, 2021, and 9:45 am on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Its owner says she was out for the night and when she returned home, her car was gone. She immediately called the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, and they have had a deputy make a report.
There are several ways you can help. First, if you live, work, or were in that vicinity last night and think you may have seen someone or something considered suspicious, please call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230. Also, if you do live nearby and have a video surveillance system, please look through your footage from last night. If there’s anything at all amiss, suspicious, or out of place on your video, make the same call and let deputies know. Even the smallest thing may give them the tip they need to solve this crime.
