Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) - Members of American Legion Post 101 will be presenting a quilt of valor to a veteran during their fall fundraiser. This event will be held at the Sonic Drive-In on Saturday, September the 26th, 2020. It is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until 3:00 p.m. The Sonic on South Lake Drive in Red Bank is working with the post on this event.

During this event, the Sonic Drive-In will donate 10% of their gross sales to American Legion Post 101. Those donations will be used to support various veterans’ programs.
At 2:00 p.m. Saturday, the Legion Post will be donating a quilt of valor to a special veteran. According to the website www.qovf.org, a Quilt of Valor® (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a service member or veteran who has been touched by war. The quilt says unequivocally, “Thank you for your service and sacrifice in serving our nation.”
