Oak Grove, SC 10/25/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County deputies, EMS personnel, and firefighters responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of Kitty Wake Drive and Fox Crossing Road just before noon Sunday. Once they arrived on scene, they located a person who had been wounded in the abdomen as a result of a gunshot. That person was quickly loaded and transported to a local medical facility for treatment.
According to Captain Adam Myrick of the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, investigators responded to what they believe was an isolated incident. “The alleged shooter isn’t a threat to public safety according to investigators,” Myrick said. LCSD personnel are actively pursuing leads in this investigation and at the time of this report, they had no further information to share.
