Chapin, SC – 02/09/2021 (Paul Kirby) – We Care of Chapin, the little food pantry that could, has been offered a wonderful opportunity to do something great in February. This food pantry and assistance center has provided the less fortunate of the Chapin and surrounding communities have helped with food and other monetary needs for years. Now, thanks to a partnership with a local house of faith, they will be able to do even more.
Eastminster Presbyterian Church is teaming up with Tackle Hunger to MATCH EVERY GIFT WE Care receives through donations during February! It's super easy to participate. You can do so as an individual, a group, a church, a school, or team up with your neighbors or family.
Once you’ve collected what you can, use the attached Needs List to do some shopping or donate safely through We Care’s secure website. As long as your donations are received prior to the last day of February, they will be matched by the church. The website is located at: www.wecare.org
Please clearly indicate on your donation that it is to be included in the Eastminster Match Tackle Hunger campaign. That way the staff of We Care can report their totals from the effort. In fact, if you give a donation during this campaign, Eastminster will add 15% to every food and monetary donation WE Care receives! It’s just that easy.
Please note the following donation drop off instructions:
We Care is open to receive in person donations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. until noon. On Thursdays, they’re also open from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. for drop off. Their facility is located at 1800 Chapin Road just west of the Town of Chapin town limits.
Only non-perishable items can be dropped off around town in their Food Boxes.
We Care does not maintain a physical mailbox at their facility. All donations should be sent via their US Post Office Box at: PO Box 491 Chapin, SC 29036.
