West Columbia firefighters battle mobile home fire earlier this week

West Columbia, SC 02/13/2024 (Paul Kirby) – Firefighters from the City of West Columbia, Lexington County, and the City of Cayce responded to a report of a mobile home on fire on West Street in the city earlier this week. When they arrived, they had heavy smoke coming from the home.

Crews quickly organized, established a water supply, and made an aggressive attack on the fire. In a short amount of time, they were able to mark this fire as under control.

Although no injuries were reported, the smoke flames, heat, and water destroyed the mobile home.
