West Columbia investigators looking into shooting in parking lot of Augusta Rd business

West Columbia, SC - 01/31/2021 (Paul Kirby) – Investigators with the West Columbia Police Department are in the process of looking into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that took place near a business overnight Saturday. According to Assistant Chief Scott Morrison, this was in the parking area of a Waffle House off Augusta Rd and I-26 in the city.
Chief Morrison said that someone fired from a car into another. Because this investigation is in its early stages, he was not able to say exactly how many rounds were fired. He also didn’t specify if anyone in the other vehicle returned fire or if anyone was injured in the incident.
