West Columbia Riverwalk and Amphitheater fully open after being damaged by Hurricane Helene

West Columbia, SC 08/25/2025 – The City of West Columbia is excited to announce that the West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater is now open from the Moffatt Street Entrance (100 Riverside Drive, West Columbia, SC) to the Cayce connection. The Moffatt Street section of the Riverwalk had been closed for repairs following damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

“The reopening of the entire Riverwalk is a wonderful moment for West Columbia. This space brings people together to connect with nature, exercise, and enjoy time with family and friends. We are grateful for the community’s support throughout the restoration efforts, and we are excited to see the Riverwalk once again serving as a gathering place for all,” said City of West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles.
