White Knoll Middle educator earns scholarship to pursue master’s degree

Lexington, S.C. 03/15/2022 - White Knoll Middle Digital Learning Coach Jessica C. White earned a prestigious scholarship from the Palmetto State Teachers Association to continue her education. White is one of only ten teachers in the state to receive the 2022 Dr. Elizabeth Gressette Professional Development Scholarship.

Gressette, a former kindergarten teacher, was the founder of PSTA in 1976. To apply for the scholarship, applicants must be a PSTA member for at least three years and currently enrolled in a higher education program. PSTA, the largest professional education association for teachers in South Carolina, provides benefits to members throughout their careers.

White received a $1,600 scholarship to complete her master’s degree and will be recognized during PSTA’s annual meeting in April. White is pursuing a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina.
