White Knoll/Red Bank family dealing with aftermath of house fire

White Knoll/Red Bank, SC – 04/07/2021 (Paul Kirby) – A family of five is dealing with being displaced after their home caught fire and burned in the White Knoll/Red Bank area of Lexington County Monday. The fire was reported just before 3:00 p.m. on Tannery Drive off McLee not far from White Knoll High School. This is in the Bluefield West subdivision.

Units from the Lexington County Fire service and Lexington EMS responded to the fire that was coming through the roof of the two-story, single-family home on arrival. Firefighters immediately began a search to make sure no one was in the home while others set up for the fire fight.

In a short amount of time, the fire crews brought the fire under control. Unfortunately, much of the damages had been done to the home before they arrived on scene. The home was destroyed as a result of the blaze.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family that was displaced.
