Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department and the SC Highway Patrol are on the scene of an automobile accident on I-20 east near the 55 mile-marker Thursday morning. This is at the South Lake Drive overpass. The sheriff’s department is now saying that after the collision the female driver of the car died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The call regarding the accident came into Lexington County around 5:00 a.m. Thursday. It was dispatched as a collision with a gunshot.
