Young girl killed in mobile home fire identified

Sharpe's Hill, SC 06/30/2021 (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the young girl who died as a result of injuries she suffered in a mobile home fire on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. The fire was in the 200 block of Golden Leaf Lane in the Sharpe’s Hill community of Lexington County.

According to Coroner Fisher, Miss Chloe Eve Doby, 10, of Lexington was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival due to injuries she sustained in the fire.


An autopsy will be performed at MUSC in Charleston on Thursday July 1, 2021 to determine the cause of death.


The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
